  • Kenyan Producer Claim Tekashi 6ix9ine Paid Him $900 For YouTube Copyright

How exactly did Tekashi 6ix9ine get his latest music video back on YouTube after it was removed?

“GOOBA” signified 6ix9ine’s re-entry into the hip-hop realm after spending months behind bars for racketeering. Under the terms of his house arrest, Tekashi 6ix9ine is allowed to release new music and requested special permission from the judge in the matter to record the music video for his comeback single, which dropped simultaneously on May 8th. The video feels like the aftermath of a rainbow explosion and even has 6ix9ine throwing shade at all those who have called him a snitch since ratting out his Nine Trey Gangsta Blood members by transforming into a snitch.

The 2 minutes and 29 seconds-long clip set a new YouTube record for most streams on a hip-hop video in 24 hours with 43 million views. All was well — until the video was removed from the platform.

Kenyan music producer, Magix Enga, had alleged that 6ix9ine copied one of his beats, and the video was taken done by YouTube over copyright infringement. It was reinstated shortly after, with Magix Enga, who made the accusation, saying, “6ix9ine, your song ‘GOOBA’ is now on YouTube, let me just forgive you bro, but at least respect Magix Enga, Kenyan Beat King.”

Magix’s comment may have made it seem as though the video was reinstated purely in good faith, but it appears as though there was money involved. The African producer has now told RapTV that he was offered the equivalent of $940 to put the song back up as soon as possible. Although Magix initially accepted the cash, he then had a change of heart. “I was like… I was 50/50 about that, but I decided to forgive the guy and take the money, but the next day I was like, hm… I need the credit. So, yesterday, I refunded the money,” he said. Tekashi’s team has denied all claims involving a monetary settlement.

The music video for “GOOBA” is currently sitting on more than 310 million views, with his next music video for his upcoming single “TROLLZ” set to drop on Friday.

  • Akon Gets Flamed For Collaborating With Tekashi 6ix9ine On “Locked Up Part 2”

Akon has officially signed on as a feature on Tekashi 6ix9ine’s upcoming album.

After claiming that he would not hesitate to hop on a record with Tekashi 6ix9ine earlier this year in April, Akon is actually making music with the rapper turned federal informant, as seen in a new video. Tekashi 6ix9ine seemed excited to share that he was in the studio with the legendary Konvict Muzik singer this weekend.

The “Gooba” rapper took to Instagram on Sunday (June 7) to post a video clip of him and Akon working together on a remix for the latter’s popular smash hit “Locked Up.” The story of the original song, of course, follows Akon’s incarceration and his journey as a convict. Tekashi 6ix9ine, who now has a similar history (just perhaps more highly publicized, disagreeable and controversial) shares his own story on the track around the signature hook.

The two artists are seen bopping to the recording as they laid on the track while seated behind the sound engineer board as their voices blared through the speakers. “LOCKED UP PART 2 IM ON ALBUM MODE. THIS ALBUM GOING CRAZYYYYYYY @akon,” Tekashi 6ix9ine wrote in his caption alongside the post.

While this is a great opportunity for 6ix9ine to make another hit, some fans have expressed disappointment with Akon for agreeing to work with the tattletale rapper. One fan took to Twitter to say, “Me saying I’m disappointed in Akon is an understatement. Man had me screaming OH NA NA NA as a kid and is now out here working with 69,” they wrote. Another fan declared that “Akon is messing up with the culture.”

Interestingly, Akon did give us all a heads up during his interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Instagram Live in April when he admitted that he would be the first to feature on a new 6ix9ine record. “I’ ma feature on that record,” said Akon at the time about working with 6ix9ine on his new album. “Matter fact, I’m about to call Tekashi right now and say ‘yo, T, what we doin’? I’m ’bout to get on that record.’”

Akon expressed empathy for 6ix9ine, explaining that everyone “goes through something in their lives that propels them to do things that they feel are in the best interest of themselves.” He continued, “As a man, you can only respect somebody that does what they think is best for them and their families.” According to Akon, the expected backlash wouldn’t be a detractor for him either because he knows it will help with the overall popularity of the record once it’s out too.

“Listen, I’m me, n***a. You can’t beat me up. I’m getting on that record,” he told DJ Whoo Kid. “That record probably be the hottest record that drop this year because of all that…Just think about all that surrounded this record. Even if you don’t like him. You gon’ get it, download it, out of curiosity.”

Well, Akon is sticking to his word and giving Tekashi 6ix9ine a music collaboration. Moreover, he’s arming the 24-year-old rapper with one of his biggest hits to remix. Do you think this will be Tekashi 6ix9ine’s biggest collab to date?

Akon really took time away from making an IRL Wakanda in Senegal to make a song with a pedophile culture vulture with 26-inch rainbow bundles, c'est triste https://t.co/WeoyzYZ4Dv

  • The Game & Wack 100 Reacts To ‘Born 2 Rap’ Royalties Seize To Pay Sexual Assault Accuser

The Game has recorded quite a major loss in his legal battle against a woman who accused him of sexual assault.

In 2016, a court determined that the rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, was guilty of misconduct against Priscilla Rainey, who had been a contestant in his dating reality show, ‘She Got Game.’ According to Rainey, The Game lifted her skirt and groped her repeatedly without her consent during one of the dates which was not broadcast.

She sued the “Hate It or Love It” hitmaker and received a settlement of $7 million, which Game tried to appeal last year. Not only did the appeal fail, but Game has received strife for his efforts as the courts have now decided to up the ante on his punishment. Rainey now basically controls Game’s record label, Prolific Records.

Established last October, the name of the independent label was inspired by Nipsey Hussle’s distinct face tattoo. Game set up the label to release his ninth studio album, “Born 2 Rap”, and Rainey has now been granted “any and all rights, title, and interest” in any money, property, or future payments due to the record label.

In laymen’s terms, Rainey now owns the album, its royalties, and even any salary Game may have been paying himself through the label, according to a report from All Hip Hop. Should the rapper attempt to thwart the ruling in any way, things will get worse for him. Judge Virginia A. Phillips, who passed the ruling, has stated that an attempt by Game to collect the money, as opposed to giving it all to the plaintiff, will result in him receiving a charge of contempt of court. It is not yet known whether he intends to appeal the ruling.

We guess in this case, one could tell him, “Don’t hate the player, hate The Game.”

The Game’s manager Wack 100 has since released a statement saying that he owns all the royalties from the album, Born 2 Rap. “Last time I checked #Wack?owned all royalties to born to Rap,” Wack 100 wrote. “And I don’t owe the b**ch a dime … When the #CDC # has their # who knows maybe I might lose in a dice game one day … But as of right now Today it’ll be right here in my little ole profolio.

  • French Montana Squash Beef With Jim Jones And Drop New Song “That’s A Fact”

French Montana and Jim Jones officially make peace.

It’s official, Coronavirus has one positive aspect — it encourages people to get over their beef. French Montana seems to be the latest who is catching on to this trend. While social distancing, many are putting aside their differences and finally coming together after years of feuding. French and Jim Jones have been on opposite ends for a decade and a half. Their beef allegedly began because Jones had publicly claimed to be associated with the people who put a hit out on French, and was exacerbated when the “Out of Your Mind” rapper became friends with Max B who claimed that he had not been properly paid by Jones to whose record label, ByrdGang, he was signed.

It seems as though enough time has now passed, and French and Jones aren’t holding anymore grudges. “If there’s anybody out there watching from the young n****s, man, learn from this,” the Moroccan native said during the IG Live chat with his former rival.

“Don’t waste 15 years in the game when y’all could have been getting all kinds of bags together.” French shared the conversation with his followers on the ‘gram, captioning the clip, “15 years of beefing ended up with laughs and war stories. Big moment for hip hop… All the blogs that covered all the bull**** make sure yall put the same energy to making peace.”

During the conversation, Jones shared how ridiculous he thought it was that artists were still beefing with each other during such a global crisis. “There’s a lot of foolish beefs and foolish shootings and there’s a lot going on right now with everybody cooped up in the house,” he said. He was not alone in his sentiments.

  • Blueface Addresses Viral Video Of Women Brawling At His House While Quarantine

Blueface is speaking out on a viral video showing several women fighting at his house, all while we’re all suppose to be quarantined.

It was total pandemonium in the home of California rapper Blueface, as a handful of beautiful ladies dressed in ‘blue’ turned what should have been a fun encounter into something more. The result actually hinged along the lines of Girls Gone Wild, the blue edition. The exact meetup at one of the rapper’s two houses was to facilitate the shooting of the video for “Vibe.”

It is no surprise that Blueface decided to shoot a video for the track, with “Vibe” being dubbed as one of the hottest cuts on his Find The Beat album, released in March. Based on the lyrical content of the song, the video definitely required some of the badest girls on set. However, the rapper and the filming crew seemingly got a bit more than they bargained for.

The rapper posted various videos to his Instagram Stories showing some of the ladies trading words. However, that was just the prequel to the catfights which took place, leaving the camera crew to use their best refereeing skills and Blueface to capture it all for the world to see. The crazy beef between the ladies seemed to span the entire shooting time, as we capture them facing off in multiple scenes, in different outfits, and in different rooms. However, it is a bit hard to miss the other ladies dancing and shaking throughout most of the fight scenes, which makes you wonder if the battles were intentional and will also be included in the final rendition of the video.

The wild ‘performance’ put on by the ladies was only overshadowed by the fact that Blueface was made to put out a statement. “They were not fighting over me it was a lot of Henny mixed with all attitude. I have not had relations with any of these women no one was being racist more then half the people here was black,” wrote Blueface.

He continued, “So if you believe that your to invested in the internet alil to much.”

Thankfully none of the ladies or crew members were seriously hurt as a result of the fights that took place.

  • Cassidy Arrested For Marijuana Possession and Outstanding Warrant

Rapper Cassidy is currently in some legal troubles after being busted for marijuana possession and an outstanding warrant.

The Philly rapper was arrested on Sunday in Jersey City outside of his home, TMZ reported. The “My Drink N’ My 2 Steps” MC was sitting inside a vehicle smoking marijuana when cops pulled up. According to the police report, cops smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the van and also noticed a blunt sitting on the dashboard in full view. Cops also found a bag of weed and a grinder inside the vehicle.

Cassidy was arrested and charged for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The rapper also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in another country for the same thing he was booked for on Sunday. Now he has two upcoming court dates for two of the same offense.

Back in 2005, Cassidy spent eight months in prison after being convicted for involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault stemming from the shooting death of a man he had an argument with where a shooting erupted. Now he is facing some fresh legal troubles all for smoking marijuana. This begs the age old question, why is weed even still illegal and how does it benefit the society for arresting someone for smoking a blunt?

  • Boosie Badazz Concert Shooting Caught On Drone Camera

Boosie Badazz concert in Gardena Friday night ended prematurely after gunfire rang out in the venue leaving patrons scampering for their lives.

According to reports, there were multiple shootings and at least one of them was caught on camera by a drone flying overhead. TMZ posted the graphic footage showing the moments when one person held up a gun and started shooting. Cops are investigating the incident that left two persons suffering from gunshot wounds and several other nursing various other injuries caused from the melee.

In the clip, you can see where someone return the fire while partygoers flee the scene. The motive of the shooter is not known and there is nothing in the video that shows what agitated him. Boosie has since reacted to the concert shooting by posting a clip on Instagram and writing in the caption, “COMPTON They say Cali crazy n sometimes ……… they was fighting the whole night they showed me nothing but love tho.” Watch the video clip below.

Boosie concerts have been plagued with violence this year. In April, his show at Virginia Motorsports Park, in North Dinwiddle, Virginia, was canceled because someone started firing shots inside of the venue before the Louisiana rapper even went on stage. In March, another one of his concerts in Decatur, Illinois, ended prematurely after a massive brawl broke out in the audience.
